Arches National Park

On the edge of Moab, Utah this park has over 2,000 Arches and neighbors gorgeous parks worth stopping by too.

Planning your trip to Arches National Park

Arches National Park is home to the Arch on Utah’s License Plate. Delicate Arch is the most famous arch, and with 2,000 Arches in the park, there is a lot to see. Arches National Park borders Moab, Utah, so you do not have to worry about places to eat; there is plenty.

Hungry?

My favorite restaurant I went to while I was in Moab was Jailhouse Café. Originally built as a home, it was later used as a Courthouse before becoming the restaurant it is today. Jailhouse Café is a tiny place with plaid tablecloths and black and white floors. Their menu is small and simple, with only breakfast classics.

Take it easy:

Arches National Park is full of easy paths to get you up close and personal with their most popular attractions.
Balanced Rock is one of the first stops you can make in the park. You can walk right up and see how massive it is. It is an excellent way to start your journey.
The Windows and Double Arch are equally as simple paths to take to get close up to arches.

In for the long haul:

Delicate Arch can be seen from multiple viewpoints. If you are going for the viewpoint route, I recommend taking the 30-minute hike.
If you feel up to it and want to see Delicate Arch up close, you can take a 3-mile hike that will lead you straight there.

Night Owl:

Arches National Park is open twenty-four hours a day. This is a go-to park for stargazing and watching the sunrise. The park also has stargazing events; you can find the schedule on their website.
Whether you are there to count the stars or the arches, it is a worth wild trip.
