Bryce Canyon National Park

Being that Bryce Canyon is home to the biggest collection of hoodoos in the world, there really is no where else like this.

A Day Trip To Bryce Canyon National Park

Bryce Canyon is 4 hours away from Las Vegas, NV and an hour forty-five away from Springdale, Utah (the town outside of Zion). That being said, Bryce Canyon is the perfect place for a day trip. If you do plan to stay the night, they have a few places to book a room. Ruby’s Inn has rooms and RV accommodations, and a few food places nearby. The majority of their trails are 2-3 hours long. You can also do the Figure 8 Hike, which combines three trails into one 4-5 hour adventure. Bryce Canyon has Sunset and Sunrise Point, so your itinerary for sun gazing is already perfectly planned.

Fan Favorite:

There are several below the rim hikes between the hoodoos. The fan-favorite is the Queen’s Garden Navajo Combination Loop. Wear proper footwear with good traction and consider bringing a hiking stick. The below the rim trails can get very steep.

Make a quick stop:

Head over to the Natural Bridge viewpoint, it is a quick and easy stop, and it is really cool to see.

Got extra time?

If you are heading to Bryce Canyon from the west (Las Vegas, Los Angeles) we highly recommend taking the long way and driving through the Zion National Park Scenic Route. You get to drive through Mt. Carmel, and you may even see some rock climbers scaling the vertical walls in Zion.

The hoodoos are hidden by the forest at first. Once you get to the edge of the forest and see the Bryce Canyon Amphitheater, you will be blown away.
